EXCERPTS FROM THE BLUE-COLLAR DIARIES (Double Disc)
Justin John Scheck
The Blue-Collar Diaries is, in part, a series of 5 Concept Albums. These are the Artist's favorites from the collection, all of them Remixed and Remastered by the Artist. JJS wrote, performed, Mixed and Mastered all of the songs that make up the albums of The Blue-Collar Diaries and uses Logic Pro exclusively.
The Concept Albums cover Romantic Love, the Meaning of Life, Mental Illness, Addiction, Spirituality, and End Times Fascism.
The Albums are, in order, The Evening Years: Dance Songs For The Lonely, Get In Line For Now, The Sparrow's Morning War Cry, A Peasant's Voice and Fascist Addict.
It is all a love letter to The Working Class, in honor of The Working Class, as told by a man who has lived a Blue-Collar existence.
It is a story that could only happen in America.
After 12 years on the safety net, 12 years of living in shame as a hermit in ND and Mo, the Artist decided to reach out to "The Divided States Of The Poor Working Class" with Art, in hopes of quelling the violent divisions that so engross the U.S. today. This music is meant to make one feel less alone, more connected with their neighbors and those they've yet to meet. It is a confession, and it is all about the human experiences of The Working Class in America
It is the divisions which keep us from uniting in common cause that the Artist takes on directly.
As The Artist put's it,
"We don't need Prophets to lead us out of the darkness. We need Student's of History to remind us who's keeping us in the dark. Artist's are supposed to be the Shaman of the Tribe. If the Tribe is to be healed, the Artist must dance and sing while in a trance, and he must live his life out loud."
